Book an Event

Booking a band

We book music across many genres at Art In.

The first step is to check our Booking Calendar for available dates. Please keep in mind we are typically booked 6-10 weeks out.

Once you find a date that works, please send any relevant artist/band profiles and music streaming site links to booking@artinmadisonwi.com. We will review the information and send a confirmation email.

Promoting your show

Please create a Facebook Event page for your event.  Add Art In as a co-host.

Your Facebook event should be created by an entity such as a band, artist, or organization, not a person. This will allow Art In to be added as an event admin.

If you would like to get a calendar listing or write up for your show, we recommend checking out the list of Madison Press Contacts and sending a press release to any applicable media outlets.

Please refrain from cancelling within two weeks of your event. We reserve the right to shake our heads in disdain at you if you do this. We also reserve the right to not book you again if you do this. Seriously though, don’t.

Day of show

  • Art In keeps the bar
  • Band/Performer keeps the door
  • Load in time is 6:00PM through the back door
  • You must provide a door person if you want one
  • Doors open at 7
  • Band can begin after 7

Book an art show

Art In has been hosting local art events for five years. We have about 3000 sq. feet of gallery white wall gallery space.

We cater mostly to the local neighborhood on the east side of Madison.  We do not take a commission on sold work.

Please check our booking calendar for availability. We book art shows for 5-7 days. That is 2-4 days ahead of the show to come in and hang the show and host the event night. We allow 2-3 days after to get the work down.   The rate is $300 per week. You will be responsible to hang your own work and take it down.   You will need to provide your own hardware to hang.  Please use the smallest nails possible.

Promoting your show

We will add your show to our website and social media pages. Due to the large amount of events at Art In we encourage you to help with promotion as much as you can to make the show a success!

Show Tips

Our patrons are mostly art consumers, not art collectors. The price range that seems to get the most sales is between $50-$250 dollars.   Prints and cards are always an easy seller.  Some have done coloring books of original art work.
